On Monday, November 28th, RMHS hosted an assembly to celebrate IHSA state champion, freshman Vera Conic. RMHS is incredibly proud of Conic and wanted to do something special to commemorate her record-breaking win. Conic placed 1st in the 100-meter backstroke with a time of 54.59 seconds, becoming the first girl in RMHS history to be a swimming state champion. At the aforementioned assembly, the whole school gathered to watch a replay of Conic’s win. Everyone cheered as she swam her way to first place. RMHS is so proud of Conic, and can’t wait to see the future of her swim career.
