2021 VMAs

The 37th annual MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) was held this weekend and here’s everything you missed. From the award winners to Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) getting into an altercation with Connor McGregor.

The VMAs is an award show that recognizes and honors the best in the music industry. It was held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, and was hosted by Doja Cat. Although it took a while to pick a host, Doja Cat was definitely the right choice. She was funny, relatable and charming.

With Megan Fox basically wearing nothing, and MGK getting into a fight, you could say they were the highlight of the VMA’s this year. Megan wore a see-through dress with almost nothing underneath, and her boyfriend MGK wore a flashy red suit. This power couple made many people turn their heads just to get a second look.

As for the fight, McGregor supposedly wanted a picture but was declined by MGK. The situation escalated when MGK gave him a little push which caused him to spill his drink. This made McGregor mad in which he proceeded to yell and made security aware. They quickly separated the two from each other but McGregor still tried to throw a punch. This didn’t affect MGK as he went on to win his first VMA for his song/video “My Ex’s Best Friend”

Olivia Rodrigo and Lil Nas X had the most awards with 3 each. Justin Bieber had the most nominations with 9. Beyonce earned her 29th award extending her lead which made her daughter Blue Ivy Carter the youngest to earn a VMA in history.

We can’t wait to see what music 2022 brings us!
