Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings Review

On September 3, 2021, Marvel released their new movie called “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.” This movie was directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who also directed Just Mercy. “The film broke numerous box office records, and has grossed over $157 million worldwide.” It received a 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and has gotten many positive audience reviews.

In the movie, Shang Chi (Simu Liu) who goes by Shaun is confronted by the past that he thought he left behind. Shang and his best friend Katy (Awkwafina) get put to the ultimate test when they figure out what the Ten Rings Organization is.

This movie never has a dull moment, it always keeps you on the edge of your seat. Just when you started to sit back, you would immediately get drawn in again. This movie is hilarious, action-packed, up to date, and beyond incredible.

The music by Joel P. West was phenomenal. It didn’t miss a single beat. It got you hyped up, then focused on the fight, then sad and emotional. It fit the movie so perfectly that there’s no way to describe it in words.

The martial arts in this movie were as real as they could get. The director of this movie wanted nothing but perfection. He got over 5 film fighters to help teach real Kung Fu to Liu. Although Liu was new to it he quickly picked it up. This movie definitely has some of the best fight scenes the MCU has seen. You never knew who was going to win.

I would highly recommend this movie to Marvel fans and anyone who likes action more specifically based around Kung Fu, and people who love to laugh. This movie will make you laugh so loud that the entire movie theater will be looking at you like you’re crazy or something. The cast definitely didn’t disappoint in making this a comedy.

Personally, this is one of the best Marvel movies I have seen in a while. Although I think Black Panther is better this is definitely a close second. Now go get your tickets, popcorn, candy, and friends and watch the movie. I promise it won’t disappoint.
