Bulls Season Predictions

The NBA Summer League tournament just concluded and the Bulls are looking solid. During free agency this summer, the Bulls didn’t hesitate to use a majority of their salary cap on star player DeMar Derozan, an explosive scorer who previously played several years with the Raptors and Spurs. However, this means that the Bulls can use the cap space they have left to pick up a new free agent or stay within the organization and re-sign Lauri Markkanen.

Chicago had their eyes on another player this offseason, a slashing playmaker with loads of potential named Lonzo Ball. Ball is a young player in the league and someone who could make a huge impact on the organization. He would be a tremendous asset and a key factor in Chicago’s success this upcoming season. On August 9th, Tomas Satoransky, Garrett Temple and a second-round draft pick were enough to secure Lonzo.

“Just come in and do what I’ve been doing my whole life, playing point guard, leading the team, getting things going on the defensive end, for sure, picking up the ball, Lonzo said.” “Just playing with energy and creating a good atmosphere that everybody really wants to be a part of, building chemistry together as a unit to win basketball games. That’s what I’m coming in there trying to do, throw those pieces together and move as one.” Chicago is thrilled to get to work and is excited to see how much Ball improves when working with the organization.

With these key additions to the team, the city has high hopes for the upcoming 2021-2022 season. The team has loads of firepower and scoring assets that can take on a superteam such as the Nets and Lakers. My predictions for this upcoming NBA season are that the Bulls will be a top seed entering the playoffs. With these new additions, I think we should be able to win games frequently and be able to put ourselves in a good position when entering playoff time. Chicago has acquired some of the best guards in the league, so I fail to see any reason as to why their season should be similar to the last few years. I also predict that Chicago will advance past the first round in the playoffs, which they haven’t done in some time. This year, the Bulls finally have all the key pieces to the puzzle for a winning season.
