NFL Predictions Week 6

Last week we did a solid job picking games. A 10-6 record isn’t anything to boast about, but it is a positive record and will bring our overall record to 48-32. If you were betting on my picks you’d be making money. Let’s get into the picks.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-1) vs. Philadelphia Eagles (2-3) 7:20 PM Thursday

This one is very easy to pick. The Eagles have no defense and the Bucs are very good on both sides of the ball. They also have Tom Brady; this shouldn’t be too much of a surprise that I’m going with the Bucs.

Bucs 31 Eagles 21

Miami Dolphins (1-4) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (0-5) 8:30 PM Sunday

Oh Urban Meyer. An 0-5 start to the year with the highest touted QB prospect since Andrew Luck is not a great start. And I really think it’s going to be an 0-6 start. The Dolphins aren’t as good as I thought they were, but they are still better than the Jags. They should really give London better games.

Dolphins 24 Jags 14

Minnesota Vikings (2-3) vs. Carolina Panthers (3-2) 12:00 PM

The Panthers disappointed me a bunch last week. Darnold looked terrible and Chuba Hubbard is no CMC. The Vikings, although being a very talented team, have looked shaky. Kirk Cousins scares me every time. It always comes down to primetime Kirk and I think I’m going to lean in his direction.

Vikings 28 Panthers 17

Los Angeles Chargers (4-1) vs. Baltimore Ravens (4-1)

The Ravens are frauds. Straight up frauds. If it wasn’t for a record breaking kick and a horrendous collapse they would be 2-3. I like Lamar, I like the defense, and I like the coach, but they are frauds. The Chargers on the other hand are emerging as a really good and young team. Herbert is an MVP candidate and Mike Williams is apparently the greatest WR of all time. So although both of these teams have the same record, I see the Chargers being the much better team and the winner of this matchup.

Chargers 30 Ravens 21

Los Angeles Rams (4-1) vs. New York Giants (1-4)

This one is easy. The Rams have a high powered offense and a vicious defense while the Giants have Saquon Barkley… Maybe. Rams by a lot.

Rams 31 Giants 10

Houston Texans (1-4) vs. Indianapolis Colts (1-4)

The Texans are very bad. Davis Mills is very bad. The Colts are apparently very bad, but not as bad as the Texans. So basically what I’m saying is the Colts are going to win pretty handedly.

Texans 13 Colts 27

Kansas City Chiefs (2-3) vs. Washington Football Team (2-3)

This game won’t be very close. The Chiefs, despite being blown out the last couple of games, get their comeback game. Mahomes is going to shred through this Washington defense like a knife through butter. Even if Edwards-Helaire doesn’t play this week I still think the Chiefs are going to kill this team.

Chiefs 45 WFT 17

Green Bay Packers (4-1) vs. Chicago Bears (3-2)

This game is also pretty easy to pick. Yes, they are playing in the hurricane that is called Soldier Field. Yes, the Bears won last week against a good Raiders team. Is that going to make me pick them to beat the Pack? No. Rodgers has played at this field his whole career and he doesn’t seem very fazed by it anymore. He has also seemed to find his stride in throwing the ball to Davante Adams over 10 times. So Go Pack Go.

Packers 27 Bears 17

Cincinnati Bengals (3-2) vs. Detroit Lions (0-5)

Don’t want to talk about it. Bengals by a lot. Next game.

Bengals 31 Lions 13

Arizona Cardinals (5-0) vs. Cleveland Browns (3-2) 3:05 PM

The Cardinals are very good. And by very good, I mean like Super Bowl contender type good. Kyler is an MVP candidate and the defense is surprisingly dominant. The Browns are very good, but I can’t wrap my head around the fact that Baker has a literal torn ligament in his non-throwing shoulder. I also think the Cards are so hot that it’s going to have to take another contender to give them their first loss. And the Browns in my eyes aren’t a good enough contender.

Cardinals 34 Browns 27

Dallas Cowboys (4-1) vs. New England Patriots (2-3) 3:25 PM

This Cowboys team is really good. Like a lot better than anyone expected. Dak is on pace to maybe break the passing yards record, and even with Zeke being non-existent in some games, they still have won by a convincing margain. The Patriots are really confusing. They beat the bad teams and stay in games with the good teams but can’t seem to beat them. While I hate picking against Belicheck and the evil empire, I think I have to go with the Cowboys here.

Cowboys 28 Pats 20

Las Vegas Raiders (3-2) vs. Denver Broncos (3-2)

Oh Jon Gruden. You very stupid man. You never do anything that can lose your job and ruin your career. And he did both of those things in the span of maybe an hour. Without Gruden, this team gives me no hope. Gruden was the mastermind behind this whole operation and with no Gruden calling the plays, I have no faith in the Raiders. Plus the Broncos are good enough to beat up on their Divisional foe.

Raiders 14 Broncos 27

Seattle Seahawks (2-3) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (2-3) 7:20 PM

Both of these teams are in the mud. The Steelers have no QB plain and simple. They also have no Juju after his season ending injury last week. Their defense is good, but not as good as everyone thought. The Seahawks have such a good offense, but the defense is so bad they couldn’t stop a three legged dog from scoring a touchdown. So it comes to who I like more in the coaching department and although Pete Caroll is a great coach, Mike Tomlin is so good and the defense should stop the high powered Seattle offense.

Seahawks 24 Steelers 31

Buffalo Bills (4-1) vs. Tennessee Titans (3-2) 7:20 PM Monday

I love the Titans. The coaching style, the offense, the defense, Derrick Henry, literally everything. And while I do think Derrick is going to barrel his way through the Bills defense to probably come out with over 100 yards and at least 1 TD, but the Bills are so good on both sides of the ball and have so many different weapons that I can’t see them struggling too much with the Titans. Josh Allen for MVP!

Bills 31 Titans 28
