Max Christie declares for the NBA
RMHS alumni, Max Christie has officially declared himself into the 2022 NBA Draft. He will retain his college eligibility, likely testing the draft process and the NBA’s reactions to him as an athlete. He played a solid freshman year at Michigan State, with stats of 9.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists followed by 0.5 blocks and steals on a team that made it to the second round of the NCAA tournament. Christie is the third Spartans player to announce his future in the past week. Spartans seniors Gabe Brown and Marcus Bingham Jr. both announced that they will also declare for the draft.
According to Bleacher Report’s NBA mock draft, Christie is projected as the 34th overall pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
