On April 8th at  Riverside Brookfield High School, our very own Orchesis dance team performed at the Illinois High School Dance Showcase, officially making this hard working group of dancers state bound! 

The Illinois High School Dance Festival is an annual gathering of high school dancers and their teachers, granting them the opportunity to participate in master classes with some of Chicago’s premiere teachers, choreographers, and performers including the viewing of a professional company performance. Overall, this festival provides a dance intensive experience with many styles of dance. It is an outstanding way for these dancers to create connections through the art of dance. 

Our dancers have spent countless hours working on perfecting their craft just for this very moment. We give a huge congratulations to Katrina Miletic as she choreographed the dance titled “Insidious”, which was the piece selected to perform at the IHSDF. We also want to congratulate Ms. Veray and the rest of the dancers that performed.
