The RMHS football team will face a new opponent today following their incredible performance in last week’s game against Glenbrook North High School. The Mustangs claimed victory last Friday with a score of 42- 34.
“[I am] happy, proud of my teammates, and excited for the next game. We’re a good team; we have really talented guys,” said senior quarterback Quincy Johnson.
Today’s opponent is Maine West, who is currently on a three-game winning streak.
“[We are] just going to go out there and do better. [We will] try our hardest, and we’re gonna win,” said sophomore linebacker Luke Harvey. Harvey then made a promise to the fans to try for a new personal record of five touchdowns.
The game tonight will be played at Maine West High School, with kickoff at 6:30pm.
“[We are] ready to score today, ready to go. I’m really sure we’re gonna win,“ said senior running back Vinnie Piccolo.
