The 2024 Harper Art show has officially come and passed, featuring the art of many talented Rolling Meadows students. It began on Nov. 4th and ended on Dec. 5th. The show included 2D, 3D and 4D art in its presentations. Artists from District 214, District 211 and Barrington were included. The show had limited space, so it was very selective with who was and was not put into their exhibit. But nonetheless, Rolling Meadows had 46 of its students’ hard work showcased at the exhibit during this time, six of which won at a reception held by Harper College on November 20th.
The winners in the 2D category include seniors Mika Carreon in 1st place, Haley Kurak in 2nd, and junior Lillia Strutynska in 3rd. The winners in the 3D category: senior Sophie Murray in 1st place, and juniors Ree Fares in 2nd and Anahi Sanchez in 3rd. Some honorable mentions include seniors Sydney Cabitac, Makayla Ceballos, August Grosso, sophomore Liya Mussina, senior Samantha Winkelmen and junior Serena Maslon.
This show was an amazing opportunity for young artists to show off their talents and be rewarded for all of their hard work. As visitors walked around the art showcase, they could see all of the effort and passion that was put into making these pieces of art. Congratulations to all of the winners & participants at the 2024 Harper Art Show!
